An incredibly easy and very tasty dish. If you don't like marmite, don't worry, it honestly does not taste of marmite 😂 It's just very savory plus it looks 10x fancier than it actually is so its an all-round winner.

🛒Ingredients

  • Dried spaghetti, 125grams per person
  • 2 tsp of Marmite (or more)
  • A good knob of butter
  • Parmesan, a handful per person
  • Black pepper + white pepper, if you have it
  • 📖Method

  • Bring a big pan of salted water to the boil + the add your spaghetti. Do not salt the water too generously as you're going to need a lot of it for the sauce.
  • In a separate pan, melt butter with a little of the pasta water.
  • Add a teaspoon of marmite per person, and mix through.
  • Add your cooked spaghetti, and toss through the sauce until it's fully coated.
  • If it looks a little dry, add some more pasta water.
  • Give it a taste, if you want more marmite (we usually do) add a little more.
  • Add _lots_ of black pepper. The more the merrier. If you have white pepper to hand, add a little of that too, but it's not vital.
  • Just before serving, add the parmesan, and stir through pasta.
  • Serve! and add a little more parmesan on top.
