Pasta Al Forno
Pasta Al Forno is just Pasta in the oven, so its pasta bake, without conjuring images of Homepride. This dish is super easy and very nice. You're going to like it.
250grams dried pasta
1 tin of whole tomatoes
1 ball of mozzarella
Put a large pan of salted water on to boil, and add pasta once ready.
Preheat your oven to 220 degrees c.
Using a blender, whiz up your tinned tomatoes and transfer to a pan and add a pinch salt & oregano. If using dried basil, add now.
Reduce slightly on a medium / low heat for ten minutes. You don't need to reduce it too much.
Once your pasta is almost cooked, a couple minutes off being done, add it to your sauce with a small splash of pasta water and mix through.
Once mixed, transfer half the pasta to an oven dish and top with half the mozzarella, cover in parmesan, and some fresh basil. Then repeat with the second half, covering with lots of parmesan to ensure good crispy bits
Pop in the oven for 20-25 minutes until the top is browned and you have nice crispy bits and you're done!
